Support for a SCH issued Chromebook with Technical Issues
If you have a School City of Hammond-issued Chromebook and are having any technical issues, you can fill out this Technical Service Request Form, send an email to email@example.com or call 937-1680. Our Live Technical Support will be available Monday-Thursday from 7AM-4PM and Friday from 7AM-3:30PM.
Chromebook Request for a new device
If you still need a Chromebook, you can come to the Technology Department office at the Area Career Center, Door E between 7:30-11:30 or 12:30-3:30. Please bring identification.
Many parents have asked about Hot Spots. SCH partners with the 1Million Project to issue Internet Hot Spot devices to our students that do not have reliable Internet at home. If your family is in need of this support, please fill out this Google Form and we will reach out to you. We are working on going through this list and trying to acquire more devices. Please make sure your student is fully registered using the Parent Portal before making the request.
All students must be registered using the online registraton system. Please visit https://www.hammond.k12.in.us/powerschool for instructions. For assistance with registration, you can call 937-1680 and choose option 2 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. We can also set up for you to come in and we can help you walk through the process - when you call in, ask for an appointment.
Viewing Student Usernames
Parents can login to the Parent Portal and view their student’s username. Once you are logged into PowerSchool, click on the profile icon in the top right corner, click settings, click on My Account, Scroll to the bottom and you will see Children. Click on the name of your child.
Lost or Stolen Chromebook
If you have lost your Chromebook or it has been stolen, it is very critical that you take immediate action to ensure the return and/or replacement of the device. Please take a few minutes to fill out this Lost or Stolen Chromebook form.
