Lincoln Elementary School
Lincoln School is one of Hammond’s oldest schools, founded in 1897 at Goslin Street and Johnson Avenue. The replacement structure was built at 4221 Towle Avenue in 1923, with an addition in 1953. Our current building was built in 1981, with classrooms added in 1998 and major renovations in 2013. Lincoln Elementary is named after Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President of the United States. The mascot of Lincoln Elementary is the Lion, and we “pride” ourselves on “meeting our children where they are”! Go Lions!
