Morton High School
Morton High School is named after Oliver P. Morton, the 14th governor of Indiana. Morton School was established in 1937 at its former location on Marshall Avenue in the Hessville section of Hammond. It became a four year school in 1954. The current Morton High School building was opened in 1968. Morton School has served the Hessville community as a high school and elementary school since 1937 and has served as a cornerstone institution for decades. Go Govs!
