Harding Elementary School
Warren G. Harding School opened on January 4, 1924, at 3107 Cleveland Street on 19.1 acres of land in the Hessville section of Hammond. It replaced the temporary Gibson School founded in 1922. The current Harding Elementary School opened in 2006 and is housed with a lot of great technology to enable our students to expand their knowledge for jobs that don’t even exist yet! At Harding we have an ‘our students’ holistic approach to growing our students together. Our teachers go above and beyond to meet their students where they are, and work tirelessly with them with the assistance of teachers, paraprofessionals, staff and aides to help them increase THEIR learning. Go Harding Huskies!
