SCH to Hold Active Shooter Drills Over the Next Few Weeks

SCH remains dedicated to educating and keeping our students safe every day. Schools in Indiana are required to do an Active Shooter Drill, in which schools simulate, with the help of police, what it could look and sound like in the event of an active shooter in the building.

SCH will hold Active Shooter Drills on the following dates and times:

Monday, November 1

  • Area Career Center: Noon

Wednesday, November 3

  • Edison Elementary School: 10 a.m.

Thursday, November 4

  • Hess Elementary School: 10 a.m.

Friday, November 5

  • Hammond Central High School: 8:15 a.m.
  • Kenwood Elementary School: 9:30 a.m.
  • Jefferson Elementary School: 10 a.m.

Monday, November 8

  • O'Bannon Elementary School: 9:45 a.m.

Tuesday, November 9

  • Irving Elementary School: 9:45 a.m.
  • Wallace Elementary School: 2 p.m.

Wednesday, November 10

  • Harding Elementary School: 10 a.m.
  • The Welcome Center at Columbia Elementary: 11:15 a.m.

Thursday, November 11

  • Franklin Elementary School: 9:30 a.m.
  • Morton Elementary School: 2:45 p.m.

Friday, November 12

  • Morton High School: 8:15 a.m.
  • Scott Middle School: 9:20 a.m.
  • Eggers Middle School: 1:30 p.m.
