Understand the Problem Read the problem carefully...maybe more than once! Restate the problem in your own words Identify the important information!
				Make a plan! Look for a pattern! Make a list, table, picture or diagram! Act it out! Work backwards! Guess and check!
				Carry Out the Plan! Solve the problem using the strategy you chose! You may need to try other strategies before you find one that works!
				Look Back! Check to see if you answered whaty was asked! Check to see if your answer is reasonable! Check to see if your work is accurate! Try to find another method. Compare the results! Think about other problems you have solved to see if your problem is similar!
