EARTH HISTORY SCAVENGER HUNT

 
For the Earth History unit, you will be required to complete the following scavenger hunt.  Attached is a list of several items you may choose to do.  Even though we may spend some time in the library, the research is up to you!  The maximum amount of points awarded is listed on the side.  Turn in your projects one at a time as you finish them so that they do not pile up!  The final deadline for all submissions is January 11th.  You may do as few or as many as you would like but this is YOUR grade!  THIS IS AN ASSIGNMENT!

The Project will be graded as follows: A: 90-100+ points

B: 80-89 points

C: 70-79 points

D: 60-69 points

F: below 60 points

Prepare a poster timeline of 2007 earthquakes.    Give the place, dates, and explain the magnitude of each earthquake.  (At least 10)

Write a short science fiction story about life during the time of dinosaurs.  The story should be based on scientific facts, but take place in the past.

Create a physical model of a dinosaur. Describe what it looks like, how tall and heavy it is, what it does, how it uses its features, if it is dangerous to humans, where does it live, what does it eat, and other special features.
