Guidance Information

The purpose of the Guidance Department is to assist students in making decisions and assuming responsibility.  The Counselors strive to provide assistance to students in the areas of academic, social, and emotional development as well as in career awareness.
The Guidance Counselors provide individual and small group counseling.  They consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents in understanding and meeting the needs of students in the school setting.  They refer students and their parents, as needed, to appropriate specialists, special programs, and outside agencies.

It is easy to schedule an appointment with the Guidance Counselor.  Students may come in before or after school or between lunches to schedule an appointment with their counselor.  Parents may request an appointment by calling the Guidance Secretary.
